We are opening the Window wider.

When we introduced Field Window, we wanted to discover whether other photographers shared our frustration with planning across weather apps, tide charts, maps and location notes.

The response came sooner than expected.

We have now received 20 early enquiries from photographers interested in what Field Window could become. That interest has given us the confidence to bring forward parts of our development roadmap and begin preparing Field Window for international use.

From an Australian beginning to a wider field

Field Window is being created to answer a deceptively simple question:

Where and when are the conditions most likely to suit the photograph you want to make?

That question is not confined to Australia.

Fog in the English countryside, storm light over the American coast, reflections in London or New York, and changing conditions across remote landscapes all involve the same challenge: translating forecasts into meaningful photographic opportunities.

We are therefore beginning work toward international coverage, initially focusing on the United Kingdom and selected regions of the United States.

Our planned expansion

August–September 2026 — Build and validate

Strengthen the Australian platform, test international weather and location data, and recruit photographers in the UK and US to help us understand regional needs.

October–December 2026 — International testing

Introduce selected UK and US locations to a small testing group. Validate forecast interpretation, time zones, units, coastal information and location recommendations.

Early 2027 — Phased international beta

Open supported regions progressively as their data and recommendations meet our reliability standards.

This is a working roadmap rather than a promise of complete worldwide coverage by a fixed date. We would rather expand carefully than release recommendations that photographers cannot trust.

Help us decide where Field Window goes next

If you photograph landscapes, coastlines, rural areas, cities or changing weather outside Australia, we would like to hear from you.

Tell us your country, region, photographic interests and the conditions you most often chase. Your response will help determine which locations we support first.

Join Field Window early access and nominate your region.
